Community has always been an important part of my life. I currently serve as the North Las Vegas Planning Commissioner, representing Ward 3 and protecting the integrity of our neighborhoods.

As a member of the City Charter Committee, I work with our neighbors to embed a positive vision for our city into the Charter.  My family has lived in North Las Vegas for more than six years.

We are grateful to have discovered  Ward 3 and made it our home. Education is a high priority of mine. I loved instilling an appreciation for history in my high school students. My career in education also included years as an ESL tutor to children and adults from all around the world. Currently, I am a history fact checker and editor for an educational curriculum company.

I received my bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University in 2004 and returned to Texas to obtain a teaching certificate and begin my teaching career. I’ve been married to my husband, Dr. Cleat Zeiler, a geophysicist, for 20 years.

We have four children, 2 daughters and 2 sons. Not far from all the chaos is our little dog, Apollo. Service is a vital component of our household. Some of our favorite places to volunteer are: Fisher House, Gilcrease Orchard, Clean the World, Spread the Word Nevada, Just One Project, Wreaths Across America, Las Vegas Celtic Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. And I am proud to serve on the America 250 Nevada Commission Committee.
